My Story

For years I would see men coming to my practice or my life who just feel so lost and so disconnected from themselves and others. I have been fortunate to have a few close and connected relationships that have depth. These relationships have helped my overall wellness. I see men struggle with identifying what they are feeling and just accepting it as part of who they are as men. They just say, “meh” to mental health when they can have so much more. They can have joy, excitement, depth, meaning, and peace.

So, I now focus my practice on helping men. However, I also offer couples therapy because for many men their relationship is where their problems are occurring and where many of their communication problems are showing.

As a counselor, I utilize experimental and traditional talk therapy to help you gain resilience and learn to take back control of your thoughts and emotions. Using a combination of CBT and ACT techniques, clients will build and uncover strengths they were not aware of. My primary goal is to support you in finding and aligning your core values with your unique strengths. I believe counseling is a joint experience with the counselor and the client, where both parties are seeking to help someone to be the best version of themselves. I help empower those I work with through thoughtful introspection, reflection, and reframing to create meaningful change. I believe each person I work with is an individual and as such, requires an individualized approach to help them with their view of the world around them.

I hope this helps you to be a little more familiar with who I am. I sincerely hope I have the opportunity to get to know you as well.
